Must have maternity products for an excellent pregnancy

Is it your first pregnancy? Are you worried about what to expect? Take a deep breath. There are tons of products on the market to help make you comfortable and make your pregnancy easier. From pregnancy products engineered to bring that warmth and comfort, to health and wellness supplements, to comfortable clothing and shoes - you can get everything you need to have an enjoyable pregnancy.

#1 Clothing

In the second trimester your body will start to change, and certain fabrics will not be as comfortable as you would expect. Experiment with different styles and fabrics to find most comfortable options for you.

Maternity Leggings: A pair of leggings are perfect to go with long shirts and tees. They are stretchable, airy, and great for everyday. You can go from doing chores, to shopping, to yoga without having to change.

Overalls: Stylish and comfy, overalls never go out of trend! Plus, you will look ravishing each time! The great thing about today’s overalls is that they come in a variety of fabrics. If denim isn’t very comfortable, there are lots of cotton blends to select from.

Maxi Dresses: Because most of them are relaxed and breezy, maxi dresses are perfect for evening walks, baby showers, and casual get-togethers. Why let go of the fun? The best part about maxi dresses is that you can wear them after pregnancy too without alterations.

Maternity Robes: Soft and extremely comfortable, maternity robes are the at-home go-go. Morning routines, evening teas or reading books at night, maternity robes will help you feel relaxed and comfortable. Also, maternity robes are best when it comes to feeding your baby. You can use these robes after your delivery too.

#2  Nutrition

Nutrition is something that confuses so many of us. What to eat, what not to eat... Magazines, blogs, well-wishing relatives are always ready with their advice, and it becomes overwhelming. There are so many books on healthy eating in pregnancy that half the time, women can’t decide what supplements to take and how much to eat.

The best thing you can do is listen to your doctor. Your doctor will know what your body needs and will recommend supplements to compensate for deficiencies, if any, for healthy baby development.

There are skin creams and gels available on the market for skin elasticity and fighting stretch marks. Be careful. Not all skin products are made the same. Some can have harmful ingredients and can cause allergic reactions. Because body oils or gels you use will get absorbed in the body, they may also affect your baby.  Always check the ingredients and opt for natural products.

#3 Fitness

There is a ton of fitness gear available for pregnant women to stay fit. Light to moderate exercise is generally healthy during pregnancy, to avoid stiffness and aches. Constipation, bloating, and swollen feet are natural in pregnancy, which is why it is even more important to keep yourself moving.

Here are a few healthy activities to try during your pregnancy.

Yoga: helps with deep breathing, relaxation, and flexibility. There are special maternity yoga classes that incorporate yoga movements that will help moms-to-be to feel great mentally and physically. First-time moms-to-be tend to go through a lot of anxiety. Joining a yoga class can help improve focus and mindset.

Walking: Regular walks help maintain hip health and overall flexibility. Also, walking after meals can improve digestion and prevent bloating. Plus, who doesn't like that fresh air?

Swimming: One of the best activities that help relieve sciatic pain and ease the load on the ankles and other joints is swimming. You will feel much lighter in water. You can swim by yourself or join a water aerobics class.

Tai Chi: It is a combination of mediation and spiritualism. With all the changes that a pregnant woman goes through in her body, hormonal imbalance can make her feel emotional at times. Some women find it extremely difficult to get over the fear and anxiety. Tai Chi can help relax your mind.

Maternity products:

From a stainless steel water bottle to a bio band to help with nausea, there are so many maternity products on the market!

Our favorite is the pregnancy pillow  - the must-have pregnancy accessory. As your tummy grows, laying on your back gets uncomfortable. A pregnancy body pillow will help you get a good night’s sleep by providing you with back and tummy support as you toss and turn.
